Mary’s Free Range Chickens is a family owned and operated business that has been raising poultry since 1954 – they also raise turkeys and ducks. Mary’s chickens live their entire lives on a pastured farm in a sunny valley. Carefully hand-raised in small groups, these animals are fed a non-GMO verified vegetarian diet, with plenty of room to perch, dust bathe and roam. Mary’s chickens live in an environment that is closest to their natural state.

Mary’s chickens are processed and cooled individually using cold air, rather than the more commonly used method of placing chickens in a communal bath of water. This air chilled method prevents the absorption of water, greatly reducing any potential of bacterial cross contamination. And with no water added, the air chilled method produces a better tasting chicken, keeping the “real” chicken flavor and juices. You can definitely taste the difference!
