Introducing Local Rancher Rex Swan

This month’s Butcher’s Beef Boxes features all natural beef raised by local rancher Rex Swan. Swan’s Angus cattle are raised on Central Coast pasture grass their whole lives, but are finished year-round with a cornucopia of local byproducts. Firestone Walker brewers malt gives Swan Angus Beef its sweet flavor. Grapeseed silage from the local grape crush, combined with 10% almond hulls, gives the meat a nutty flavor. Rex Swan’s cattle are fed these local byproducts while they graze on grass paddocks, allowing for finished, fresh beef 12 months of the year. Rex believes his beef is consistently better than just grassfed. We invite you to taste the difference.
